Kvaser och Delling – Two newcomers in the Purus family

20 August 2025

Purus launches two new floor gullies for the export market

Our latest launch stems from the demand for a smaller, more compact floor gully that functions as overflow waste outlet, while meeting the prevailing standards and construction methods used across continental Europe.

Purus has been active for 80 years and is known for developing reliable water drainage solutions that meet the demanding requirements of the Nordic construction industry. Our solutions are also highly valued by installers outside the Nordic region, thanks to flexible designs and a wide range of accessories.

WHAT MAKES PURUS’ NEW FLOOR GULLY MODELS KVASER AND DELLING UNIQUE?

  • Low overall height, where the adjustable gully named Kvaser measures 85-120 mm and Delling 135-170 mm in total height
  • 50 mm outlet dimension, with Kvaser featuring a side outlet and Delling a vertical outlet
  • NOOD water trap included. The Purus NOOD floor gully water trap (“No Odour”) is a mechanical odour stop with a spring-loaded cup that remains closed without water supply, thereby preventing odours even if the water trap dries out or the gully is unused for periods of time
  • Smooth connection piece allowing the gully top, together with its adapter and NOOD water trap, to be mounted directly onto a socket end of a 110 mm waste pipe – enabling installation installation in areas without need for waterproofing membrane such as concrete flooring
  • Stainless steel grate in size 105 x 105 mm in Purus’ stylish signature pattern – Chess, which comes in a frame that measures 110 x 110 mm

HERO MODELS WITH NAMES FROM NORSE MYTHOLOGY

Purus has a tradition of naming its floor gully models after gods or mythological beings from Nordic folklore. Kvaser is the wisest of the gods and the origin of mead (kvas = strong mead/ale). The ability to consume large quantities of ale and still stand firmly is not far from a floor gully’s durability and high flow capacity – wouldn’t you agree?

Delling is the bright one, the god of dawn and dusk. He plays an important role in Nordic mythology, as his connection to the times of day makes him a key figure symbolising the transition from darkness to light. Or in this case – a floor gully that quite simply secures the connection between the light of the room and the darkness of the drainage system!

NB: Kvaser and Delling are not type-approved for connection to waterproofing membranes in accordance with Nordic market requirements.

The connection piece is allowing the gully top, together with its adapter and NOOD water trap, to be mounted directly onto a socket end of a 110 mm waste pipe – enabling installation in areas with no need for waterproofing membrane for example a concrete flooring. (Here in the low cut version)

And here in a installation without cutting the top.
