Now it’s even easier to design with Purus products in MagiCAD.
During the spring and summer, we have carried out a major update of our BIM content in MagiCAD Cloud – BIM object library. The result is that our basic range of standard products is now fully represented and structured in a way that makes it significantly easier for designers to find the right product.
Larger and Complete Product Range
From the previous 183 BIM models, there are now a total of 764 models available in MagiCAD Cloud. Among the updates are:
586 new models that complement our range of standard floor channels: Purus Channel 100, 150, 200, Volume, Square, Combo, and Cleaning Room – the full range that you can also find in our configurator Rännguiden.
New models of the recently launched adjustable floor drains Njord and Hild are now also available.
Improved names and descriptions for all existing models, where everything has been updated for clarity and consistency.
Smarter categorization and easier navigation
To make it even more logical to find the right product, we have introduced a new categorization system in the product browser:
Floor drains are sorted by material: plastic, cast iron, and stainless steel.
Purus Corner and Line are sorted by model, with Tile Insert (variant with recessed ceramic tile top) and stainless-steel grate as separate options.
Floor channels are sorted by model, and further divided by size.
This structure is directly linked to MagiCAD Cloud and thereby becomes the natural entry point for anyone working in AutoCAD and looking for manufacturer-verified BIM objects in MagiCAD’s database.

Next step – improvements in MagiCAD Selection Tool
Our work doesn’t stop here. This autumn we will continue developing our presence in MagiCAD and will soon launch a new version of the Purus Selection Tool. The focus is on making the tool even more intuitive, with a clearer design, product images, and simpler filtering that makes it easier to configure the right product for your specific project.
