A bathroom with natural materials at the centre
In Villa Svanshall, natural materials are at the centre. The bathroom is uncompromisingly designed with Kolmården marble, a Swedish marble in gray-green tones. Each slab has been carefully selected to highlight the stone’s unique grain and create a seamless whole. The result is a bathroom that exudes timeless elegance and exclusivity.
When the project was highlighted in the TV programme Grand Designs Sweden (episode number 4, 2025), it was precisely the interaction between architecture, choice of materials and details that was highlighted.
The shower area towers like a cube in the master bedroom of homeowners Eva and Håkan. To enhance the clean feel of the shower area, the Purus Square 148 Tile Insert was chosen as the design solution on top of the floor drain. The discreet tile frame blends into the marble and allows the pattern to continue without interruption. With its narrow drainage gap and stable fit, it is both aesthetically pleasing and easy to install, while providing a durable solution that works in everyday life.
Together with the powerful expression of natural stone, the Square Tile Insert becomes part of the whole rather than a technical detail – a solution where design and function meet in the best possible way.
