Three generations, one partnership
From cast iron floor gullies in the 1980s to modern drainage solutions today, the partnership between Purus and our German partner, Martin Ehmer GmbH, has stood the test of time.
What began with a chance business connection between Bengt Spånberg of Sjöbo Bruk (now Purus) and Martin Ehmer more than 40 years ago has grown into a long-standing collaboration built on trust, commitment and shared values.
Over the decades, we have worked side by side to support the European construction and bathroom industry, combining Scandinavian innovation with strong local expertise in the German market. Together, we have adapted to changing maket demands, strengthened our presence and continued to create value for customers.
As both companies evolved, leadership passed from one generation to the next. Today, the partnership continues into its third generation of leadership, with Rebecka Spånberg, CEO of Vitas Group, carrying forward the Purus legacy alongside Brigitte Alexandra Ehmer and Marc Ehmer at Ehmer GmbH.
Yet while much has changed, the foundation of our relationship remains the same: long-term thinking, mutual trust and a shared commitment to growing together.
