Prefabricated modules for the Senior Living Home
As part of a partial refurbishment of the idyllically situated senior living home, 46 bathrooms in the existing building were renovated.
The project was not carried out using conventional construction methods but with prefabricated modules. The manufacturer, IBS, a long-standing partner of our German partner Martin Ehmer GmbH, focuses its innovative and visually appealing concept on reversible, durable, and therefore sustainable solutions.
In the shower area, the Mini Brage 50 was installed in combination with the self-closing NOOD Flexi water trap.
The Mini Brage 50 ensures a permanently secure connection to the Tarkett flooring. If the shower is not used for an extended period, the spring-operated NOOD odor trap prevents unpleasant smells from developing.
The washbasins are equipped with PUM, providing improved wheelchair accessibility and exemplary hygiene standards.
The Tarkett floor, installed in a bathtub-style configuration, provides a seamless showering experience without joints. According to Tarkett, there is no solution comparable to the Purus Clamping Ring Automatic 130 for integrating floor coverings.
The NOOD Flexi water trap opens only under water pressure and prevents odors and insects from entering the bathroom.
Both the operator and the residents greatly appreciate the added value of this bathroom solution.
Five years after completion of the project, the operator visited an IBS and Ehmer exhibition stand and was still impressed by how unchanged, easy to maintain, and flawlessly functional the installation remained.
